14th of October 2007 Central European Endurance Cup finals took plase in Topolcianky (Slovakia) last weekend (12th-14th of October 2007). Ester ( Wermut x Eskadra), 13-years old gelding bred by Kurozweki Stud, ridden by Marcin Tobiasz finished 160km (100miles) in time: 10:19:44 with Av. Speed: 15.491km/h, what gives him second place in this competition. Magnum (Nehros x Marrah) 11-years old chestnut gelding ridden by Peter Baumann(Ger) was the winning horse. His time was: 09:54:51 and Av. Speed: 16.139 km/h. Magnums ancestors are mainly from Polish lines. Mu-Zahrat (Dobryn x Mu-Gaza), 8-years old mare bred by Zygmunt Tobiasz, ridden by Kamila Tobiasz finished 80km (50 miles) distance in time04:38:50: with Av. Speed:17.216km/h , placed fourth, and achieving Best Condition Title. Information about Topolcianky CEEC finals Congratulations to the winners and to all, who finished this difficult competition! 11th of October 2007 Piruet (Probat x Pieczec), 24-years old stallion, bred by Janow Stud, is leaving for France in October. Piruet was bought from Janow Stud in 1991 by Cecile and Richard Pihlström for 70 000 USD. Janow Stud was leasing the stallion from his actual owner: Mr Joseph Geenen in 2006. Michalow Stud was leasing him in 2007. After two years spent in his maternal country, Piruet is leaving for France in October this year. Piruet was World’s Champion Stallion twice, European Champion Stallion three times, France National Champion Stallion, Italy National Champion Stallion and the winner of many other shows. His progenitors are doing very well not only in the show rings but in endurance as well. Janow Stud team is very proud of the foals by Piruet born in 2007. Many Polish private breeders bought breedings to Piruet in 2006 and 2007 as well. Breeding fee was 2000 Euro (2700 USD). Good bye, Piruet! Have a nice trip to France! Poland will never forget you! 30th of September 2007 Poland won the All Nations Cup and the Breeders Cup during the 25th All Nations Cup in Aachen. Palmira became the Senior Champion Mare (with the highest score of the show 94.7 pts), Esparto - the Senior Reserve Champion Stallion, and Pistoria, Estoria and Grafik were awarded with Top Five titles (Estoria and Grafik won their classes). Palmira, Esparto, Pistoria, Estoria and Grafik are bred by Michalow Stud. Etnologia bred by Janow Stud was awarded Top Five title. Altis bred by Falborek Arabians became Reserve Champion Junior Stallion

24th of September 2007 Sambor Cup LR (Cat. A)2200m distance race for 3 years old arabian horses (PASB) took place at Sluzewiec Race Track on the 23th of Sep 2007. Wadi Nur (Gazal Al Shaqab x Wenessa)bred by Michalow Stud was the winner. Engamoon (Avangard x Engabara), Om-Karma (Wiliam x Ormianka), Elsana (Gafal x Elba), Malajka (El Bak x Mantylka), Tunezja (Eldon x Tripla), Lord (Gafal x Lira) and Carlos (Gafal x Castila) were following him. 7th of September 2007 II Autumn Arabian Horse Show will take place at Janow Stud. The show beginning is on Saturday, 8 Sep 2007 at 8 a.m. 59 horses will be competing in in hand classes and 32 horses will be competing in performance classes.
7th of September 2007 Middle East Championships were taking place 46 Sep 2007 in Amman(Jordan). Junior Mare Champion was Ras Al Sina (Gazal Al. Shaqab x Wideta)2004. She was bred by Michalow Stud and exported in utero Stud to UAE. Her owner is Al Aryam Arabians. Junior Stallion Champion was AJ Dinar (WH Justice x Deska HJE) 2005, representing Ajman Stud (UAE). Class results are: · Bakarat (Partner x Bajeczka) 1988bred by Janow Stud was second in 12-years and older stallions, following only Burkan (Pakistan x Verdjinia) 1995. · Escape Ibn Navarrone-D (AS Sinans Pacha x Navarrone P) 1999 was first in 7-9 years old stallions class, Ora El Masri(Orashaan x Alianda)1999 was second. BS Summerset (Taladinn x DP Black Sin Der)1998, the stallion with Polish ancestors was third in this class. · BS Paparazzi (Kar Papageno x Sivka) 2003, Polish horses progenitor, won junior stallions class, Al. Arabi was second in this class · Two half-sisters Goleh Gola and Gho Gha, the mares with Russian-Egiptian-Polish pedigrees, granddaughters of Michalow bred Figaro, won the oldest mares class. Goleh Gola (Abakan x Grojka) 1994 was first, Gho Gha (Nadir I x Grojka) 1992 was following her. · Loubna (Imperial Imdal x Imperial Kalatifa)1997 won 10-11 years old mares class, with the highest show score (95,2 points). Kafira Aasa was second. · Simourah W (Garsal x Sima) 2000, whose sire has Polis roots, won 7-9 years old mares class. Elmar’s Pleasure was second. · Whistler BHA (Magnum Psyche x Kharyzma)2001 was the first in 6 years old mares class. 27th of August 2007 International Show Class-A was held on the 25-26th of August 2007 in Towerlands, Great Britain. After National Show was cancelled due to the weather conditions and floods in Great Britain in July, Towerlands Show stays the most important British Arabian Horse Show this year. We’re proud to inform you that Polish arabian horse: Eberia (Ecaho x Ebola) 1996, who was bred by Michalow Stud and sold during Pride of Poland Auction 2005 for 54 000 Euro to Jadem Arabians (Belgium) became Reserve Senior Champion Mare. Michalow bred Esparto (Ekstern x Ekspozycja) 2002, was second in the 4-6 years old stallions class, following only Final Shadow (Psytadel x AS Shahwan). BTW Bresilia (Psytadel x RA Cool Elygance) 2005, whose both parents were bred in the USA, two years old filly, bred by Swatam Arabians owned by Polish breeder Wojciech Parczewski was second in her class.
22th of August 2007 Elandra (Monogramm x Erlanda), grey mare, bred by Michalow Stud, DOB:15 Jan 1995 is leaving for Australia. Elandra was bought during Pride of Poland auction in 2005 for record price 290 000 Euro (380 000$) by Sloan brothers (Aria Arabians). Elandra was Scottsdale Grand Champion Mare 2007, World Champion Top Ten Mare 2003, European Champion Mare 6-8 Years of Age 2003, Polish National Reserve Champion Mare 7-10 Years of Age 2003, her race record is 19/2: 2-3-4-4-3. Elandra was bought lately by Jeff & Robyn McGlinn -fromMystica Arabians, Australia. The price is still a secret but it’s well known it was a record price again. Elandra left three foals in the USA: a filly by Galba, a filly by Pershahn El Jamaal, a filly by Gazal Al Shaqab Good luck in Australia!
19th of August 2007 Ariela Arabians (IL) bred stallion Laheeb will be standing at Michalow Stud for the 2008 breeding season. Laheeb sired many excellent foals at Michalow Stud during the 1999 breeding season. Zlocien, Wieza Babel, Emira, and Galilea are among them 18th of August 2007 Champiaan and Ferri became Norfolk & Suffolk AHS Group Summer Show Champions Champiaan, one-year old chestnut stallion (Psadisho Ibn Esstashan x Chrapka), bred by Cullinghurst Arabian Stud became Junior Stallion Champion and Overall Champion at the Norfolk & Suffolk AHS Group Summer Show, which took place on the 12th of August 2007 in Great Britain. Champiaan’s dam, Chrapka was bred by Michalow Stud (Poland) and exported to Great Britain in 2002. Ferri (Emigrant x Frejlina), 9-years old grey mare, bred by Michalow Stud , sold to Great Britain during Pride of Poland Silent Sale in 2005 became Reserve Champion Mare and Reserve Schow Champion. The 10th of August is International Arabian Horse Day at Sluzewiec Race Track. There will be seven races for Arabian horses on Friday including Sabellina Cup, Bialka Cup and Europe Cup and two runs on Saturday. Oaks Race (Gazella, Mlecha and Sahara Cup) is planned for the 9th of September, so today’s races are the most important races for Arabian horses until OAKS. There was speed record at Sluzewiec Race Track last Sunday the 5th of August at 1600m distance – 1’49’’. The fastest horse was german mare HN Rana, jockey – Anton Turgaev, their trainer is Mieczyslaw Melnicki. The results to be obtained at ZMDOM website. The results from the 10th of August will be available here . 08 th of August 2007 Polish National Horse Show starts on Saturday The 29th Polish National Horse Show will take place in Janow Podlaski the 11-12th of August. Pride of Poland Auction will be held on the 12th of August. Show and Auction results will be available at Janow Stud and Pride of Poland websites. 08 th of August 2007 Polish WAHO Trophy 2007 for Sarmacja Sarmacja (Gil x Saszetka), polish mare bred by Janow Stud became the winner of the Polish edition of the WAHO Trophy 2007. Sarmacja - Derby and Oaks winner - belongs to the world-renowned family "S" of indomitable racers. The Trophy will be presented on Sunday, August the 12th, during the Arabian Horse Days 2007 in Janow Podlaski. 07 th of August 2007 Prof. Ludwik Maci¹g (1920-2007) Prof. Ludwik Maci¹g passed away on Monday the 7th of August in his home in Gulczewo near Wyszków in the age of 87. Prof. Maci¹g was well known horse painter and arabian horses lover. Condolences to Prof. Maci¹g's family and friends. 05 th of August 2007 Polish horses win at Stadl-Paura European Arabian Horse Sport Championships 2007 were held in Stadl-Paura, Austria from 3th till 5th of August 2007. Niniwa (Etogram x Niwa), bred and owned by Katarzyna Ostrowska (St. Roch Arabians), with Agnieszka Olszewska as the rider became Jumping European Champion. Metropolis NA (Consensus US x NDL Martinique US) bred by Mike Nichols, ridden by Micha³ Gryglas won Mounted Native Costume Class and was fourth at Classic Pleasure Class. Esculap (Primo – Esparceta), bred by Janow Stud, ridden by Justyna ¯ebrowska was third at Mounted Native Costume Class. Metropolis NA won also Type & Conformation competition while Esculap was second in this competition. Congratulations! 27 th of July 2007 Fernando - Danish National Champion Stallion On the 27th of July 2007 Fernando bred by Michalow Stud became Danish National Champion Stallion in Vilhelmsborg and was awarded Best in Show title. Fernando was bought in 2004 by Turban Stud.
